On Valentine's Day from the observation tower we saw a pair of Whooping Cranes in the shallow waters of the bay at the Aransas Wildlife Refuge on the Texas coast. http://www.wildtexas.com/parks/anwr.p
What a beautiful sight. We saw other wonderful sea birds like Roseate Spoonbills and Blue Herons. We also saw two gators, some armadillos, and small groups of white-tailed deer.
When we came home I applied to an interesting job at the Texas State History Association to coordinate programs and events.
