After painting the poppies in the upper levels of the gardens I wandered down to the iris bed. Only one plant was in bloom. Henry wants me to paint florals on fabrics. What a flapping mess that would be in this wind!
This blue is from Karin's wonderful Christmas surprise. It's mixed with rather a lot of gum arabic to make a contrast to the painted surface of the flowers.
