Pozole on South Congress
Ev'ry Saturday
Pozole People gather.
Craw, grackles swipe chips
This group portrait by Eric Beggs show Sandy, Honoria and Knut at Pozole. Every Saturday for years a shifting population of friends gather at the Tex Mex restaurant and show and tell about their week. We bring toys, art, mystery objects, current writings, travel stories, technologies, and philosophies. We eat pozole, the chicken and hominy soup, a specialty made only on the weekend. When asked how old the weekly pozole gathering is, Knut said, "justified and ancient."
