Musical chairs with skelton

collaboration skeleton drawings with 5 students taking turns working on each drawing Jan2010 Honoria Starbuck Teaching

Some days the model doesn't show up.  On those days it's good to have a skeleton and some interesting alternative drawing projects.

In this challenge the focus was on proportion identified as the students as something they wanted to work on.  So they drew a 5-minute sketch of the skeleton and then moved drawing horses leaving their drawing behind.  Then they drew for 5 minutes on the drawing they moved to.  The moved a total of 5 times working to refine the proportion and drawing of each skeleton they worked on.  This was confusing at first but in after action review the students realized that animation is a team sport and people have to step in in many parts of the process.
