Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is wierd and funny. The three of us all loved it. We had happy hour and appetizers in the courtyard of the San Jose Hotel then went to the Border's coffee shop near the theatre not realizing that it was Harry Potter night. Kids were dressed in wizard robes with a lightening scar painted on their foreheads. The new Harry Potter book went on sale at midnight and people were buying tickets to be in line to buy the book. At midnight groups of 50 ticketholders were allowed to buy the book. After a bit of wizard watching and espresso, we went to the movie and laughed ourselves silly. The film has many freaky twists and turns that directly relate to the book, and a few that relate to Tim Burton & Johnny Depp's movie history, and some that relate to other movie history. So it was great to see the film with a professor from Radio, TV, and Film department. I heartily recommend Charlie to you.
