My students are struggling with their final drawing project. They have done two self-portraits and because the subject was themselves their drawings showed a strong improvement. They have been drawing rather blah still lives for the most part even though I keep insisting that they draw something they love or something symbolic of something they love. I want my skateboarding student to draw his vans and skateboard using dramatic skateboard perspective. I want my horse owners to draw stable tack and interior designers to find inspiring interiors. I hope they will find the right subjects to inspire them to integrate the techniques they've been practicing with inspiration and passion to tell a story with thier drawing.
