write like a congresso

The point is to make my writing punchy and fun like a mail art congress with constant change -- avoid like the palgue any trail that leads to a plodding progression of arguments marching blandly toward dissertationy conclusions. I'd like to present doors opening onto new scenes of creative artists making use of new media in their communications. The best way to do that is to encourage the artists to speak for themselves in words and images and I think that is happening. It's like herding cats to keep it all together in my mind and in my several electronic and physical filing systems. So there must be a balance between thrills of artistic creation in the form of the document and scholarly requirements for the degree. It's a challenge and I know I can do it. All the resources are there (except the time).
