Last night I had a rangey arty conversation with Kay. As we talked I added some layers to the two automatic drawings I had painted out at the land. When we hung up I had these two finished paintings on 22 x 30 inch Indian Village Rag Paper. They are influenced by Kay of course and by the abstracts I did in Portland and by my recent readings about Hilla Rebay and Solomon R. Guggenheim...a wonderful book I found at Half Price Books.
Media: Watercolor, oil pastel, sumi ink, and gesso. Price: 50 cents a square inch.
