Austin Figurative Gallery New Home!

Hurray! After months of being homeless, the Austin Figurative Gallery life drawing group has a new home thanks to Kerry Seiffert, furniture maker extraordinaire! http://www.vanguardfurniture.com/collections/browse.aspx If you want some custom designed simple and elegant furniture call Kerry! He has a warehouse space across from the Music Lab on St. Elmo in South Austin. The space we meet in is roomy with a concrete floor we can drip ink on - a big plus in life drawing with Snarko http://snarko.com/zen//figurative-works/ and me. We are ink splatters. That's nothing compared to the oil painters of course. Even after we clean up there are colorful or rich black traces. It was our first time in the new spot and we are invited back next week. With luck, Kerry's warehouse will become our home to meet on Monday nights.

Here are a few of my drawings from last night:

These drawings are all 15 x 22 inches on Windsor and Newton 140 lb. rag paper in India ink, pastel, and watercolor and can be yours for 50 cents per square inch.
