Watched this amazing Russian silent film today.
Dziga Vertov's "Man with the Movie Camera" from 1929.
Reflection on the film's moods and visual storytelling for my students.
Pacing, framing, and self-references are all wonderful in this film in terms of what 21st century animators can learn from the past.
