additive and subtractive drawing

drawing is both additive and subtractive,
so be sure to carry white stuff and an eraser

drawing can be pushed through the sieve of your thoughts and logic
drawing can be unplanned

drawing is easier on toned paper
drawing is messy and neat
drawing is work and play
drawing generates ideas and more drawings

sketchbooks have lots of pages

draw with sticks stones and grass
draw with ink oil and water
draw with dry powder

gesso is fun to have around when you draw
pastels are really powdery
charcoal is really black
French oil pastels are like lipstick
add water to watercolors

I like to draw with striper dagger brushes with black and vermilion ink
