This month, although I did take my iPad, I also packed my Winsor and Newton traveling watercolors and some 10 x 7 inch Canson Montval Aquarelle pads of watercolor paper. I ended up using watercolors instead of digital drawing and had a grand time. This sketch pad size was the right size for the rather cramped painting situation at the Volstead. I got there early and secured a place at the bar. Fortunately, I had 5 different watercolor sketchbooks so one pad could dry while working on the next. Rotating through 5 sketchbooks was about right for the timing for the poses. Once again I enjoyed how highly pigmented the W&N colors are and loved it. Especially the Indigo and the purple. I have almost emptied some of my half pans so today will refill them from my tubes.
These four 7 x 10 inch paintings are for sale for $30 each. Signed & unframed.
Offer good through October 31, 2012.
