I am doing self-selected MOOC professional development. I just finished a 4-week course on using museum objects as starting points for inquiry learning from MoMA. The course was full of teachers from all over the world and I learned a lot from them about many different artworks and about many different teaching techniques. Now I am signed up for 2 online game related courses this fall: *Online Games: Literature, New Media, and Narrative!* sponsored by Vanderbilt University, and *Live!: A History of Art for Artists, Animators and Gamers* offered by California Institute of the Arts. These two courses (MOOCs on Coursera) directly relate to the students I teach in the Media Arts and Animation sequence and the Game Design sequence. I'm excited to be able to take these courses and grow my knowledge of art as it relates to games and storytelling.
