Yes, And

I did a very successful response activity that was based on Yes, And improv — the “Yes, And Aesthetics Rapid Response Game” (YAARRG) and used a real time Google Doc for students with a table with one column of YES and the second column of AND students had to noice an aesthetic strategy in the YES column then another student had to say the purpose in context of the Strategy in the AND column. 

For example:

YES, Student 1 I see color contrast | AND Student 2 The warm and cool color contrast emphasizes the shape of the monster

It was only a 5-minute exercise with the images coming from student posts to their blogs.  So it was all student centered and lively for an online exercise.
